I got back to Las Vegas and reunited with my Airstream on Sunday. Yes the traditional Easter in Las Vegas. I am now in Southern Utah, camping just outside of Zion National Park. My campsite is on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property and is my first real “Boondocking” campsite. Boondocking basically is creating your own campsite in the middle of nowhere. BLM in Utah manages about 23 million acres of public land. The key benefit of Boondocking is that it is usually free. The limitation is that you have to be completely self contained. No free wi-fi, no TV (missed the Blackhawks).
I spent my first day in Zion riding the shuttle and hiking. It is a little dusty here with winds over 40 mph.
