Middle of Nowhere

September 15, 2016

It seems like a month ago we left the coast of California.  It’s only been 10 days but a lot of miles.  Look Pioche, Nevada up on the map.  I told Leslie after today, that I’ve never driven so far and seen so few people.  We drove about 350 miles from Mono Lake, CA to Pioche.  Not that Pioche was our destination, just a place to rest.

The last 10 days have been very touristy.  Not to put down the poor folks that aren’t professional travelers.

We’ve been to Sequoia National Park, King’s Canyon National Park, and Yosemite.  We are now headed to Zion National Park.  Did you all know 2016 is the Centennial Celebration of the Park Service.

Love the Pics. If you guys get whisked away by aliens, is there a note in the airstream as to who gets to lay claim?
Love the beautiful travels and pics.
You have picked an excellent time in history to disconnect for the raging mainstream! I’m gong to try a disconnect in the middle of the population….any tips?

It has been a wonderful time to media deprived. One downside is Rex has developed an unnatural fear of cows. Leslie has to distract him while we drive past.

Looks awesome! Yes, we all need to step away from the media. Looking forward to seeing calls faces one of these days! LOVE to my Rexie!

Are you thinking of getting to SD Black Hills and My. Rushmore on the way back? Nice tri-color gold there, too. I suppose if I had shrunk myself, hitchhiking in some deep corner of the Airstream I would have either starved from neglect or been smashed as an insect. Oh, well, just have to get vicarious pleasure from your emails and travelogue, next best thing. Glad you’re having such a great time, sans the long boring drive stints. Keep on trucking.
