This is the first year in many that I did not go to Maine for an August vacation. I admit that I was missing the ocean and Maine’s rugged coast line. Then I got to the Coast of Oregon! Stunning! Leslie and I spent five days along the coast before moving inland to the Crater Lake National Park area. Both areas were beautiful, though Crater Lake’s scenery was suffering from smoke due to nearby forest fires. Leslie is back in Nashville. I am in Corvallis visiting with my sister. The Airstream is in Portland getting some needed attention. I will be headed back to Chicago this weekend before continuing my journey in October.
